Written Prescription Policy
When you purchase a prescription medication from Anderson Animal Hospital and Wellness Center the price of the medication includes the cost of the veterinarian’s time to complete the legal prescription. In order for the veterinarian to complete the prescription they must review your pet’s medical history, including; other medications being taken, the pet’s weight for drug dosage, and any pertinent bloodwork. The veterinarian must also evaluate the medications form, dosage, long term complications, and potential serious contraindications for your pet. Once this has all been considered, the veterinarian or clinic staff must update your pets written and computer medical records, fill and dispense the medication.
When a written prescription is requested, most of this process is still required of the veterinarian. A written prescription fee is charged to cover these costs.
If you prefer to receive a written prescription rather than purchasing medication through Anderson Animal Hospital and Wellness Center, there is a written prescription fee of:
$14.95 will be applied to one-time prescription requests.
$17.90 annually will be applied to ongoing written prescriptions.
Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy
At Anderson Animal Hospital and Wellness Center, we value our clients' time and patients’ needs. Please be courteous and call promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment. This time will be reallocated to a pet who is in urgent need of treatment. This is how we can best serve the needs of our community.
To provide the best service possible and accommodate all our patients' needs, please be advised of our established Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy:
If you need to cancel your pet’s veterinary appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment time.

We understand that unexpected situations may arise, and we appreciate your prompt communication to allow us to offer the appointment to another patient.
A missed appointment is any appointment where the client fails to show up without providing prior notice or cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice.
In the event of a missed appointment, a "Missed Appointment Fee" of $50 will be charged to the client's account.
The "Missed Appointment Fee" will be added to your account and must be settled before booking future appointments.
Payment of the "Missed Appointment Fee" can be made through various payment methods, such as cash, credit card, or other acceptable means as specified by Anderson Animal Hospital and Wellness Center.
Prepayment of Appointment Fee
Clients who have missed two appointments or more must pre-pay a non-refundable examination fee at the time of booking their next appointment.
